Written Answers. - State Receptions.

Mary O'Rourke

Ceist:

21 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the number of official receptions hosted since the change of Government on 15 December 1994; the number planned for the remainder of 1995; the events or meetings these receptions mark; and the number and purpose of such receptions during 1994. [7957/95]

I have hosted two official receptions since 15 December 1994. One reception was held on 8 March 1995 to mark International Women's Day. The second was held on 23 March 1995 on the occasion of the EU Conference on Women and Men in Political Decision Making. I intend to host a reception on Thursday, 15 June 1995 to coincide with the International Conference of Women Broadcasters — Beijing 1995. Apart from that, no further official receptions are planned at present.
