190 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs when payment and arrears of one parent family payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who has not received payment since 12 October 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As I indicated to the Deputy on 5 December 2000, the Department suspended payment to the person concerned with effect from 19 October 2000 as she had failed to provide satisfactory evidence of her efforts to obtain maintenance for herself and her child or of her earnings and the lease arrangements on her rented accommodation.
A copy of her maintenance order and lease agreement has now been received by the Department, but a P45 or similar statement from her employer confirming her gross weekly earnings is still awaited. As soon as this documentation is received a decision will be made on her claim and she will be notified of the outcome.
