Written Answers. - Appointments to State Bodies.
Since my appointment as Minister in January 1993, I have nominated one person, who is a serving member of a local authority, to a State body under the aegis of my Department (that is, Ms Jane DillonByrne as a member of An Chomhairle Ealaíon).
I have not nominated any members to the Board of Údarás na Gaeltachta since my appointment as Minister. I am aware, however, that four of the elected members to Údarás na Gaeltachta and one nominated member are members of local authorities.
