125 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the action, if any, he has taken to fulfil the promises in the programme, A Government of Renewal in relation to Sellafield and the THORP reprocessing plant. [10084/95]
A Task Force of Ministers and official experts has been set up to develop and co-ordinate a concerted strategy for progressing the Government's policy on Sellafield and related concerns about the nuclear industry. This is the first comprehensive initiative taken by any Government to date to address the problems caused by Sellafield and it illustrates the Government's serious intent to pursue all realistic courses of action to safeguard the Irish people. The proposals of the Task Force will be presented to Government at an early date.
