151 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the progress, if any, that has been made in overhauling and improving the language of legal texts in order to make them more understandable for the community at large as stated in the programme A Government of Renewal: and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed that preliminary work on giving effect to the commitment in the programme for A Government of Renewal regarding citizens' information, which includes overhauling and improving the language in legal texts to make them more understandable, has been commenced by the Department of Social Welfare and has entailed consultation with the Director of Consumer Affairs.
