I am pleased to inform the Deputy that I have recently introduced a pilot scheme under which special counsellor teacher posts have been allocated to assist the schools in question in addressing their particular difficulties. The pilot scheme has also been introduced in the Tallaght-Clondalkin area where a group of schools with similar difficulties has been identified. A total of 27 counsellor teacher posts have been allocated under this initiative and seven of these posts have been allocated to the north inner city schools.
