Written Answers. - Donegal Remedial Teacher Posts.

233 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Education the names of all national schools in County Donegal which applied for a remedial teacher and disadvantaged status; the number of those granted remedial teachers for 1995; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13194/95]

A total of 74 national schools in County Donegal have applied for a remedial teaching post and 119 national schools from the county applied for disadvantaged status. I am arranging for details of the 193 schools in question to be forwarded to the Deputy.

Earlier this year, I allocated 55 remedial teaching posts to primary schools for the 1995-96 school year. Two of these posts were allocated on a shared basis to nine schools in County Donegal. The schools in question were as follows:
