246 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for Justice the plans, if any, she has to amend section 5 of the Landlord and Tenant (Amendment) Act, 1980, in relation to tenements along lines suggested (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13085/95]
I have no proposals at present to extend the definition of "tenement" in the Landlord and Tenant (Amendment) Act, 1980.
While I have noted the terms of the amendment referred to by the Deputy in the context of any general review which may take place of the law in this area, I should point out that the provisions of the Landlord and Tenant (Amendment) Act, 1971 give outdoor sports clubs a right, in certain circumstances, to renew their tenancies.
