42 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Finance the total cost of employing Government press secretaries and assistant press secretaries, giving separate details of salaries, expenses and other ancillary costs; the comparative figures for each of the years since 1990; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following are the gross salaries of the three press officers — Mr. Bart Cronin, Mr. Paddy Duffy and Mr. Joe Lennon — employed by my Department in the period 1990-1995.
