Charles Flanagan

Ceist:

45 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Finance if he will publish on a county by county basis the breakdown of farmers against whom capital gains tax liabilities have been levied in each of the past three years in respect of moneys paid for lands acquired under compulsory purchase orders by local authorities in respect of road improvements. [12956/95]

Ceist:

46 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Finance the number of farmers who have received liability invoices in respect of capital gains tax on moneys received on foot of compulsory purchase orders for road improvements in each of the last three years. [12957/95]

Charles Flanagan

Ceist:

47 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Finance the total amount of capital gains tax invoiced to farmers and collected in each of the past three years on foot of lands acquired under compulsory purchase orders by local authorities in respect of road improvements. [12958/95]

I propose to take Question Nos. 45, 46 and 47 together.

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that to determine the information requested by the Deputy would require identification of the cases involved and an individual investigation of all the capital gains tax returns of such cases. Such an investigation could be carried out only at a disproportionate cost.
