Ceist:73 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health when a child psychologist will be appointed to a hospital (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that this position has been vacant for some time. [12712/95]
Written Answers. - Appointment of Psychologist.
Limerick East): The Western Health Board has advised that there is no post of child psychologist assigned to Mayo General Hospital at the present time. A new post of consultant child psychiatrist based at Mayo General Hospital was, however, approved by Comhairle na nOspidéal on 28 June 1995. The board has further indicated that it is currently in the process of preparing the documentation necessary to facilitate the filling of the consultant post through the Local Appointments Commission.
