Written Answers. - Neurosurgical Position.
Limerick East): The permanent filling of the sixth neurosurgical position at Beaumont Hospital does not arise pending conclusion of the appeal procedure in respect of the previous holder of that post. The possibility of a locum appointment in the interim has been discussed with the hospital but has not been proceeded with to date.
I would hope that a conclusion will be reached on this matter shortly.
