155 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for the Marine the scientific evidence, if any, on which by-laws Nos. 704 and 708 of 1995, which extended the sanctuary areas in the Western Regional Fisheries Board area, were based. [13911/95]
158 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for the Marine whether there was a unanimous recommendation from the Western Fisheries Board to introduce by-law 704 of 1995; and if a copy of the resolution from the Western Fisheries Board meeting was made available to the Department of the Marine. [13914/95]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 155 and 158 together.
A legal challenge has been lodged to both by-laws Nos. 704 and 708. The Deputy will appreciate that this matter is sub judice at present. I regret that I cannot assist the Deputy as the legal advice to me precludes comment at this time.
