16 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Justice the number of applications made by and decrees of separation granted to applicants resident in South Tipperary in the Circuit Court for County Tipperary in each of the years from 1990 and to date in 1995; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Court statistics are compiled on the basis of the legal year which runs from 1 August to 31 July. The number of applications made for judicial separation under the Judicial Separation and Family Law Reform Act, 1989 in the circuit court for County Tipperary, where either the applicant or respondent or both parties were resident in South Tipperary, in respect of the legal years 1989-90 to 1994-95 and the number of decrees of separation granted in respect of such applications is set out in the following tabular statement:
