181 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the State bodies under the aegis of his Department that have been specifically asked to comply with the 1994 Public Procurement Booklet; and when each of the State bodies was asked by his Department to comply with the principles contained in the booklet. All the State bodies under the aegis of my Department have copies of the Public Procurement Booklet and are aware of their obligations as to compliance.
The booklet was specifically directed to Government Departments, local and regional authorities and other bodies dependent on State funding; notwithstanding that, the line divisions of my Department have drawn the attention of the State bodies to the existence of the booklet at different dates from June 1994 onwards.

The only State body under the aegis of my Department is Coiste an Asgard which was furnished with a copy of the booklet in question by the Department in December 1994.
