Vol. 457 No. 4

Written Answers. - Ministerial Announcements.

Seán Haughey

Ceist:

185 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if he has made any announcement since 15 December 1994, regarding the location or relocation of any institution, organisation, project or scheme involving public funds, which comes under the aegis of his Department, in his Dáil constituency; if any of his Minister(s) of State have made similar announcements in relation to their own Dáil constituencies; if he will give details of these announcements; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15397/95]

No announcements in relation to the location or relocation, in any of our constituencies, of any institution or organisation coming within the aegis of my Department have been made by myself or by either of the two Ministers of State attached to my Department, during the period since 15 December 1994.

In relation to publicly funded schemes coming within the aegis of my Department, none of these are exclusive in their application to any Dáil constituency. Individual projects falling within the scope of these schemes may, of course, be located in any of the constituencies referred to and such projects may be the subject of public announcement, by myself or by the Ministers of State, as part of our normal ministerial duties.

The following table, which has been prepared in the time available and therefore may not be complete, lists projects which were announced by myself or by either of the Ministers of State and which are located in the constituency of the Minister making the announcement. The list includes my announcement of 7 March relating to the local employment service which is being introduced on a phased basis in 14 areas, one of which, the Northside Partnership Area, includes my own constituency.
