Written Answers. - Second Commission on the Status of Women.

Helen Keogh

Ceist:

28 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the number of times the full monitoring committee on the implementation of the Recommendations of the Second Commission on the Status of Women has met; and if the views of the Joint Committee on Women's Rights have been accommodated in the monitoring process. [15584/95]

Máirín Quill

Ceist:

29 Miss Quill asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the number of times the full monitoring committee on the implementation of the Recommendations of the Second Commission on the Status of Women has met; and if the views of the Joint Committee on Women's Rights have been accommodated in the monitoring process. [15585/95]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 28 and 29 together.

The monitoring committee has met on three occasions. I hope to publish the committee's second progress report on the implementation of the Recommendations of the Second Commission on the Status of Women soon. This report will give the position on each recommendation as requested by members of the Joint Committee on Women's Rights at the meeting of the committee which I attended on 18 May.
