32 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the members of the sub-committee set up by the Government to decide on the contract for the advertising campaign for the forthcoming divorce referendum; the terms of reference of the sub-committee; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Members of the sub-committee established to make recommendations for the approval of the Government's Contracts Committee in relation to the award of the contract for the Government's information programme on divorce comprised two representatives from my Department, one from the Office of the Tánaiste and two from the Government Information Service. The Government Contracts Committee approved the recommendations made by that sub-committee, the terms of reference of which were to examine the proposals submitted by the advertising agencies involved and to make a recommendation on the most appropriate proposals having regard to quality and cost.
