183 Mr. Hyland asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make sufficient funds available for the implementation of Drim group water scheme, County Laois, for which a first application was submitted to his Department over three years ago; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16415/95]

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Howlin):

This proposed scheme is not financially viable on the basis of standard group water scheme grants and members' contributions. I cannot say at this stage when it may be possible to approve it.
