81 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the names of individuals, groups or companies which have undertaken or have been approved to undertake full-time, part-time or casual consultancies, reviews, examinations or analysis, apart from public relations services, on his behalf or on behalf of Minister(s) of State at his Department; the total cost to date in 1995 for each contract; when the work is likely to be completed; and the estimated cost for the full job. Mr. Michael Keegan was appointed in January 1995 to conduct an inquiry on my behalf into the appointment of a solicitor-in-charge in the Monaghan office of the Legal Aid Board. The inquiry has been completed at a total cost of £3,400.

Ms Anne Colgan was appointed in September 1993 to assist my Department in the setting up of the Commission on the Status of People with Disabilities and the proposed Council for the Status of People with Disabilities. The cost per annum is £24,200, inclusive of value added tax. The Commission is expected to report in April 1996.
The Taskforce on the Travelling Community commissioned consultancy services of the Social Policy Research Unit (UCC) at a total cost of £1,032, of which £532 was expended in 1995; the Department of Health Promotion Studies (Orla O'Donovan, Verna McKenna, Cecily Kelleher) (UCG) and Patricia McCarthy & Associates at a total cost to this Department of £10,000 in 1995; and Ms Gráinne Healy at a total cost of £4,200 in 1995. The work on these consultancies has been completed.
There is no Minister of State in my Department.
