Ceist:

129 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade the total number of personnel working in his office and the office of the Minister(s) of State at his Department; the number of support staff and back-up personnel in each office; their titles and responsibilities; their salaries and other associated costs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18928/95]

There is a total of eleven personnel working in my office and eight in the Minister of State's office, inclusive of support staff and back-up personnel.

In my office there is one private secretary, two executive officers, one clerical officer, three clerical assistants, one programme manager, one personal assistant, one personal secretary and one special adviser. In the case of the Minister of State there is one private secretary, two clerical assistants, two personal secretaries, one special adviser and two Minister of State's drivers.

Responsibilities of the above personnel include provision of secretarial back-up in the performance of official duties; overseeing the implementation of the programme A Government of Renewal; and constituency matters.

Annual salary and associated costs are £222,000 in the case of my office and £152,470 in the case of the office of the Minister of State.
