543 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the proposals for legislation being prepared under the auspices of his Department that have not yet been published; and the statutory instruments being prepared in his Department. [19393/96]

The following legislation and statutory instruments are being prepared by my Department: legislation to replace the Greyhound Industry Acts, 1958 and 1993; Control of Horses in Urban Areas Bill, 1996; Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979, as amended by the Abattoirs Act, 1988, is being amended by the Bovine Diseases (Levies) (Amendment) Bill, 1995; Diseases of Animals (Equine Viral Arteritis) Order, 1996; Diseases of Animals (Control of Diseases) Order, 1996; Diseases of Animals (Carriage of Cattle by Sea) Order, 1996; Diseases of Animals (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy) Order, 1996; Animal Remedies Regulations, 1996; Diseases of Animals (Protection of Animals during Transport) Order, 1995 (Amendment) Order, 1996; European Communities (Trade in Certain Animal Products) Regulations, 1996; Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1267/94 of 1 June 1994 applying the agreements between the European Union and third countries on the mutual recognition of certain spirit drinks; Council Regulation No. 1601/91 of 10 June 1991 laying down general rules on the definition, description and presentation of aromatized wine-based drink and aromatized wine-product cocktails; S.I. No. 308 of 1989, Bovine Tuberculosis (Attestation of the State and General Provisions) Order, 1989 will be amended by a new S.I. order in the coming months; Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1990 are being amended by the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1996 and S.I. No. 114, Brucellosis in Cattle (General Provisions) Order, 1991, is being amended this year.
