Written Answers - Community Television Licence.
With regard to the licensing of Southcoast Community Television, I would refer the Deputy to my answer in this House on 5 December 1995, to Question No. 176, columns 457-458 Volume 459 (3). As I stated on that occasion, when I have a detailed licence application from Southcoast Community Television, it will be fully examined, in a process that is fair and impartial but which takes account of all my responsibilities.
My Department is currently putting in place a mechanism to progress that assessment, including the engagement of independent technical advice.
