Ceist:62 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he has calculated the extra costs to farms in 1996 of the proposed increase in ESB charges; and if so, if he will give details of these costs. [1872/96]

The vast majority of farms are on the domestic tariff and will experience a price increase of 2.8 per cent this year and 2 per cent in 1997. The remaining farms are on a broad range of commercial tariffs and are likely to experience increases of less than 2.8 per cent.
