Ceist:115 Mr. M. Ahern asked the Minister for Defence the plans, if any, he has to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the FCA. [2103/96]
Written Answers - FCA Anniversary Celebrations.
The 50th anniversary of the formation of the FCA occurs on 6 February 1996. It is proposed to hold the following events in 1996 to commemorate the anniversary: (1) Regional parades to include presentation of service medals and religious services; (2) The printing of a special dedicated edition of "An Cosantoir"; (3) A commemorative all army FCA shooting competition on 25-26 May at the Curragh; (4) Archival, Photographic and Equipment displays also on 25-26 May at the Curragh and (5) The issue of an FCA dedicated call card by Telecóm Éireann in May 1996.
