170 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will have a land registry transfer completed in view of the fact that this matter has been ongoing for 12 months and is causing financial hardship. [2911/96]
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that dealing No. 95SMO5284 refers to an application under section 49 (i.e. acquisition of title by long possession) of the Registration of Title Act, 1964 which was lodged in the Land Registry on 28 July 1995. I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications under section 49 take some time to process. In view of the circumstances outlined by the Deputy, I have arranged to have the dealing expedited.
