117 Mr. Bree asked the Minister for the Environment the submissions, if any, he has received from Sligo Corporation seeking funding for the carrying out of remedial works on local authority houses in Benbulben Terrace, St. Anne's Terrace, Garavogue Villas and Jinks Avenue, Sligo; when funding will be made available for these projects; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Funding of over £300,000 has been provided to Sligo Corporation by my Department under the bathrooms programme for the installation of sanitary facilities in these rented dwellings The 1996 allocations under the programme will be notified to local authorities as soon as possible. No application has been received from the corporation under the remedial works scheme for the refurbishment of these houses.
