Written Answers. - Repairs Grant Scheme.
I understand that Galway corporation does not have an application for an essential repairs grant on hand. However, I expect that only a small number of cases in built-up areas, such as Galway city, could meet the requirement of the scheme that there be no continuing demand for local authority housing at the location of the house in respect of which an essential repairs grant is sought. The corporation has assured my Department that it will examine any application received for an essential repairs grant in the light of the requirements of the scheme.
