Vol. 462 No. 4

Written Answers. - County Meath School Extension.

Noel Dempsey

Ceist:

75 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Education if she will approve expenditure on the extension to the metalwork room and the provision of a properly tarmacadamed play area at St. Olives, Oldcastle, County Meath. [4734/96]

Approval has been given to the County Meath vocational education committee to accept the lowest tender for the metalwork room extension, subject to the submission of revisions in respect of insurance indemnity by the lowest tenderer. When this issue has been clarified, the building unit of my Department will contact the vocational education committee regarding commencement of these works

In relation to the proposed resurfacing at the school, the vocational education committee has been requested to submit the tender documents for examination by my Department's technical staff. Upon receipt of the same the matter will be considered further in the light of the available capital resources.
