101 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the legal cost to his Department in respect of the defence of legal actions in 1995; the estimated cost for 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4720/96]
In regard to 1995, it has not been possible to collect the information requested in the time available. I will arrange for the information to be sent to the Deputy directly as soon as it has been compiled.
As regards 1996, it is not feasible to give an indication of what costs might fall on the Department until such time as ongoing and new cases have been concluded.
