154 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for the Environment the allocation for each local authority for non-national roads and county roads for each of the years 1995 and 1996; the allocation by each county council from their own resources for each of the years 1995 and 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5146/96]
Grant payments for non-national roads are not divided on the basis of road categories.
Details of non-national road grant payments and estimated own resources expenditure by local authorities in 1995 are contained in the booklet "State Grant Payments to Local Authorities on National, Non-National and Non-Public Accommodation Roads and own resources expenditure by Local Authorities on National and Non-National Roads in the period 1986-1995", which is available in the Oireachtas Library.
Details of the 1996 allocations to each local authority are contained in the booklet "Non-National Road Grant Allocations, 1996", which is also in the Oireachtas Library.
Figures for estimated own resources expenditure by county councils in 1996 and the final 1995 outturn are not yet available in my Department.
