193 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Justice the number of successful prosecutions brought in each of the years from 1990 to 1995 in respect of drunk driving and drunk in charge; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [4870/96]
The details sought by the Deputy for the years 1990 to 1994 are available in the Garda Síochána annual reports, copies of which may be obtained in the Oireachtas Library.
I am informed by the Garda authorities that the statistics for 1995 are currently being compiled and will be made available as soon as possible.
