Vol. 462 No. 5

Written Answers. - Dublin Dental Hospital.

Chris Flood

Ceist:

103 Mr. Flood asked the Minister for Health the progress, if any, that has been made in the matter of the refurbishment and extension of the Dublin Dental Hospital; the amount of money provided for this work in each of the years from 1994 to 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4922/96]

Limerick East): I recently issued approval to the board of the Dublin Dental Hospital to place contracts valued at over £6.5 million for the refurbishment and extension of the Dublin Dental Hospital and construction works have now commenced.

Capital grants amounting to about £0.03 million in 1994 and £0.64 million in 1995 were made available for this project. The expenditure required in 1996 and subsequent years will depend on progress with construction and other factors.
