Vol. 463 No. 3

Written Answers. - Local Constituency Clinic.

Dermot Ahern

Ceist:

133 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Health if he or the Minister(s) of State at his Department have directed any of the staff employed in the departmental constituency office to work directly in the local constituency clinic; if so, if this practice is in the public interest; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6492/96]

Limerick East): The following is the information requested by the Deputy. Neither myself nor Minister of State, Deputy Brian O'Shea, has directed any of the staff employed in our offices to attend constituency clinics.

The Minister of State, Deputy Currie, does not have a local constituency clinic, but from time to time his personal secretary will meet callers to his advice centres.
