222 Mr. T. Kitt asked the Minister for Education if he will have an additional permanent or temporary teacher appointed to a school (details supplied) in County Dublin from September 1996, in view of the multiple classes and overcrowding in classrooms. [5983/96]
The staffing of a national school is determined by its enrolment on 30 September of the previous year.
The enrolment of the school referred to by the Deputy on 30 September 1995 was 85 pupils. However, it is not possible at this stage, to indicate the likely staffing situation at the school for the 1996-97 school year as the staffing schedule for the 1996-97 school year has not yet been determined.
The schedule will be finalised shortly, at which stage my officials will correspond directly with the board of management in the matter.
