371 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the meetings held by him and his departmental officials at EU level regarding the restoration of the export refunds for beef and live cattle to the September 1995 levels; and the dates of these meetings. [6271/96]
Since September 1995 I have raised the question of export refunds for beef and live cattle at six meetings of the EU Council of Agriculture Ministers. Department officials have raised the issue at the EU Beef Management Committee and bilateral meetings on 12 different occasions. These are set out in chronological order as follows:
