407 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the foreign trips undertaken by him and the Minister(s) of State at his Department since assuming office; the total number of people who travelled on each trip; the names of the passengers; the total cost of each trip; and the sources of funding for each trip. [6284/96]
I would again refer the Deputy to my earlier reply of 18 October 1995 to Deputy Callely on this matter. Details of trips made by the Minister of State and I since October 1995 to date are in the following table.
All trips have been funded from the Department's budget other than where a refund of airfare is recoverable from the EU. The total cost of such trips, which are indicated by an astirisk, takes account of the recoverable air fare. I should add that the total cost of some recent trips has yet to be finalised as hotel bills that are processed through the relevant Irish Embassy have yet to be received for payment in my Department.
