417 Mr. McCreevy asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications when he proposes to effect by order the Statutory Instrument pursuant to the CIE pension scheme for salaried staff in view of the fact that agreement on the amendments was reached some time ago. [6555/96]
The draft amending schemes have been submitted to me by CIE. Clarification on a number of issues was sought by CIE and these are in the process of being considered by officials in my Department and in the Department of Finance. When these issues are clarified, I should be in a position to make the necessary order.
