49 Miss Harney asked the Taoiseach the members of the Monitoring Committee for the URBAN Community Initiative Programme; and the organisations or bodies they represent. [6304/96]
Agreement on the operational programme for the URBAN Initiative, including its monitoring committee, is currently being concluded between the Irish Government and the European Commission. When this has been completed and the urban operational programme is in place, the monitoring committee will be established.
The monitoring committee for the Operational Programme for Local Urban and Rural Development 1994-99, comprises representatives from the European Commission, Government Departments, Social Partners, the Intermediary body — ADM and the sectoral, voluntary and community bodies. A list of the Members and their organisations is provided in the attached schedule.
