Ceist:

80 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for Justice the number of cases which have been listed for hearing in the Judicial Review List in the High Court each week since 11 January 1996; and the number of cases which have been adjourned by reason of the non-availability of a judge to hear these cases. [7052/96]

The total number of cases which were listed for hearing in the Judical Review List in the High Court from 11 January to 29 March 1996 and the number of such cases which were adjourned due to the non-availability of a judge to hear the individual cases on the dates on which they were listed is set out hereunder.

I understand that any case which is not heard on the date allocated to it is given priority in the list of fix dates for the next legal term.
I should also say that the distribution and allocation of the business of the High Court is a matter for the President of the High Court and I have no function in the matter.
