Ceist:113 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number and full details of the applications within his Department for job sharing which currently cannot be met due to the embargo on staff recruitment. [8007/96]

Since the Government decision of 13 December 1995 on numbers serving in the Civil Service, 31 officers in this Department have been facilitated with job sharing. There are currently 35 applications on hands which are being processed.
No application for job sharing in this Department has been refused because of the restriction on numbers.
