Smith asked the Minister for Education the progress, if any, that has been made in relation to the provision of additional permanent accommodation at Ballyhaise national school, County Cavan; when tenders will be invited in respect of this project; when construction will commence; and if she will make a statement on the matter. A building project for Ballyhaise national school, County Cavan, is included in my Department's 1995 capital programme. The school's architect has submitted a scheme for approval to proceed to planning permission. My Department will be writing to the school in the next week or so concerning this scheme. At this stage, I am not in a position to state when tenders will be invited or when construction is expected to commence.
