306 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the number of litres of motor fuel sold or distributed in 1995 or in the most recent year for which figures are available, broken down under the headings of petrol, unleaded petrol and diesel. [10463/96]
Information on fuel sales is based on Excise Duty receipts. I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the data in relation to 1995 has been provisionally calculated as follows:
