32 Mr. E. Byrne asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the outstanding areas where the Human Rights Committee considers that Ireland is not in full compliance with the implementation of the International Convenant on Civil and Political Rights; the proposals, if any, he has to bring Ireland into full compliance; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 63 on 24 April 1996 regarding the examination of Ireland's first report to the Human Rights Committee under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights which addresses the issues the Deputy has raised.
