Vol. 467 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Waterford Schools.

Austin Deasy

Ceist:

25 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education the moneys, if any, she will provide to ensure the provision of a new vocational school in Dungarvan, County Waterford and a new permanent extension to St. Declan's Community College, Kilmacthomas, County Waterford. [11428/96]

I assure the Deputy I am fully aware of the need for the new vocational school in Dungarvan and the extension to St. Declan's Community College, Kilmacthomas and every effort is being made to progress the architectural planning of these projects so that work on the new buildings may proceed at the earliest opportunity.

However, as both of these projects are at an early stage of architectural planning, it is not possible to say when construction will commence. Accordingly, the question of funding does not arise during the current financial year.
