Ceist:

105 Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a project (details supplied) in County Galway has not been sanctioned by him, in spite of the fact that it has a priority rating since 1995; the date on which a positive recommendation was received from officials in his Department regarding this project; if he intends to sanction this project; if so, when; the amount of grant aid to be made available in respect of this project in 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12962/96]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 102 and 105 together.

Contract documents for both these schemes are with my Department at present. Having regard to the existing high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve them.
