Ceist:177 Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn asked the Minister for Education when a letter (details supplied) of 2 April 1996, addressed to her Department, will be acknowledged; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13292/96]
Written Answers. - Acknowledgement of Letter.
The letter in question, postmarked 15 April, was received in my Department on 16 April 1996. At about the same time, on 18 April, representations addressed to the Secretary, which included a copy of this letter, were received from the Deputy. A reply was issued to the Deputy on 8 May 1996.
Following this reply, one of my Department's Irish inspectors has been in contact with the correspondent but has been unable to make mutually suitable arrangements to discuss the issues raised. In order to expedite matters at this stage, a letter has been issued to the correspondent, on 24 June, advising that the Irish inspector will be again available for discussions from the beginning of July.
