Ceist:329 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the number of overseas jobs that were established in counties Cavan and Monaghan to date in 1996; and the country of origin in each case. [13980/96]

IDA Ireland employment surveys are carried out in November of each year and therefore the figures for 1996 are not yet available.
However, in 1995, 41 new overseas jobs were created in County Monaghan while 79 jobs were created in County Cavan for the same period.
A breakdown of the countries of origin in each case is not available.

IDA Ireland employment surveys are carried out in November of each year and therefore the figures for 1996 are not yet available.
However, in 1995 the total number of new jobs established from overseas companies was 11,500 and this record level of job creation in IDA supported companies is expected to continue through this year.
