152 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Education the current position in relation to an application to set up a gaelscoil in St. Kevin's Club, Larkhill, Dublin 9; if her attention has been drawn to the objections of the local primary school in relation to the effect, if any, it may have on it; and if she will make a statement on the matter. An application for the establishment of a gaelscoil in Whitehall, Dublin 9, has been received in my Department and is currently under consideration.

I am aware that the local primary schools in Whitehall have raised objections to the establishment of a gaelscoil in the area and their views will be taken into consideration in my Department's examination of the application.
