100 Mr. Bree asked the Minister for Health the independent hospices which are funded directly by his Department; the amount of financial assistance provided to each of these hospices in each of the years from 1994 to 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14690/96]

Minister for Health (Mr. Noonan,

Limerick East): Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross is the only hospice service which receives direct funding from my Department. This hospice's revenue allocation for the years 1994 to 1996 is as follows: 1994-£5.603 million; 1995-£6.040 million; and 1996-£5.964 million.

Other hospice services are funded through the local health boards.
